2 Thursday 7th October 2010
Today you will visit places of special Christian interest in
Jerusalem: the Mount of Olives, Dominus Flevit, the Pool of Bethsaida, Via Dolorosa,
the Ecce Homo arch, the Church of Holy Sepulchre and the Pater Noster Church,
concluding the day with a Communion Service at the Garden Tomb.
Day 3 Friday 8th October 2010
Jerusalem
and Bethlehem
Today the emphasis in Jerusalem is on places associated with the city’s Jewish heritage. After visiting Jerusalem’s City of David and Hezekiah’s tunnel, you will see the Wailing Wall and the Israel Museum. In the afternoon travel to nearby Bethlehem to see the place of Christ’s birth. Back in Jerusalem you can visit the Cardo (the reconstructed main street of Byzantine Jerusalem from the 6th century) and the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum.
Day 4
Saturday 9th October 2010
The
Dead Sea
In the morning there will be visits to the ancient city of
Hazor and fortress of Masada, then on to the Oasis of En Gedi on the shore of the Dead Sea for lunch. In the
afternoon you will have the chance to swim in Dead Sea and to visit Qumran and
perhaps Bethany.
Day 5 Sunday 10th October 2010
This morning you will travel the 25 miles from Jerusalem to visit Jericho. Then on to Tiberias for a 3-night stay.
Day 6 Monday 11th October 2010
On the banks of the Jordan
Today you will be in places that Jesus knew well. In the
morning you will visit Capernaum, the River Jordan and the spectacular
excavations of the ancient city of Beit Shein. In the afternoon you will see
Korazim, Tabgha and the Mount of Beatitudes.
Day 7
Tuesday 12th October 2010
The Sea of Galilee
Here Jesus spent much time with his Disciples. You will see the Golan Heights, Caesarea Philippi and the Banias Spring that feeds the upper Jordan River. In the afternoon you will sail across the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberias) on the ferry back to Tiberias.

8 Wednesday 13th October 2010
In the region of Nazareth
In Jesus’ own home area you will visit Cana, Nazareth and Mount Carmel, and in the afternoon the remains of the ancient city of Megiddo. You will spend your final night at a hotel near Tel Aviv Airport.
Day 9
Thursday 14th October 2010
